Trailer loses control, gets stuck on flyover divider in Durgapur, minor injuries reported

A trailer lost control and crashed into the flyover divider at DVC More in Durgapur early Sunday morning, blocking traffic on National Highway 19. The trailer, loaded with bundles of wire, was ascending the flyover when it reportedly lost control, causing the engine to get stuck on the divider. The heavy load of the trailer prevented it from falling off the flyover, potentially averting a more serious accident. The driver and his helper sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

The Durgapur Traffic Guard responded to the accident and cleared the wreckage, causing significant traffic disruption on the flyover. The trailer was traveling from the Bankura direction and was attempting to navigate the flyover at the time of the crash. As authorities worked to clear the area, commuters faced long delays, and National Highway 19 remained congested for hours.

Local residents expressed concerns over the condition of the flyover infrastructure, citing the frequency of such accidents. "The infrastructure of this flyover is not in good condition, and that's why such accidents are happening," one local witness remarked.
